A Canadian eTA allows multiple entries into Canada during its five-year validity period.
What You Need to Know
With a valid eTA, you can enter and leave Canada as many times as you like, as long as your passport and eTA remain valid. The eTA is electronically linked to your passport, so if your passport expires, you’ll need to apply for a new eTA. While multiple entries are allowed, the length of each stay is determined at the border and is typically up to six months per visit.
Our Recommendation
Before traveling, verify that both your eTA and passport are valid for the duration of your trip. Review the approval notice or consult with Sherpa° support if you have any questions about your entry permissions.
A Quick Tip
Each time you enter Canada, a border services officer will assess your documents and may ask about your travel plans. Be ready to show proof of your return ticket or onward travel.
