What’s happening
Sri Lanka’s ETA platform is temporarily delayed in issuing approval notices.
This means:
Applications can take longer than normal to process
You might not receive your approval before departure
Entry to Sri Lanka is still permitted
Authorities have advised that travellers who have already applied may still travel and can be assisted on arrival if needed.
Can I still travel if my ETA isn’t approved yet?
Yes.
If you’ve already submitted your application, you can still travel. We recommend bringing:

Your passport and travel itinerary
These documents show that you applied before departure.
Airlines and border officials may use this information to support your entry.
Should I still apply now?
