A Sri Lankan eTA is valid for entry through all designated international airports and seaports into Sri Lanka.
What You Need to Know
Travelers with an approved Sri Lankan eTA can enter the country through official ports of entry, including Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo, Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (HRI), and the Port of Colombo. There are currently no known restrictions on specific entry points for eTA holders. However, if you are entering from a cruise ship or a less common entry port, additional checks may apply.
Our Recommendation
Before traveling, confirm that your point of entry into Sri Lanka is an officially designated port that accepts eTAs. Always check for the latest entry requirements or updates from the Sri Lankan immigration authorities before departure.
A Quick Tip
Keep a printed or digital copy of your eTA approval with your passport. Immigration officers may request to see it upon arrival, so having it ready can help avoid delays.
