If your travel date changes, you usually do not need to update your Sri Lankan eTA application, but you should confirm that your application timing and travel plans still align.
What You Need to Know
A Sri Lankan eTA is typically valid for 180 days from the date of issue, and allows for a stay of up to 30 days. Small changes to your travel date generally do not require a new application. However, if you have not yet submitted your application, or if your new travel date falls outside the eTA’s validity period, contact sherpa° so we can assist with updating the timing or reapplying if needed. We’ll help ensure your application aligns correctly with your new travel dates.
Our Recommendation
Let sherpa° know as soon as possible if your travel dates change, especially if the change is significant or your travel is now planned for a later date, to avoid any validity or processing issues.
A Quick Tip
Before traveling, always confirm that your Sri Lankan eTA is still valid for your new dates and that your passport remains valid for at least six months beyond your intended arrival date in Sri Lanka.
