If you're seeing issues during online check-in related to visa numbers, here’s what’s likely happening and how to resolve it.
🛂 ESTA vs. Visa
If you’re travelling under the Visa Waiver Program using a U.S. ESTA, you do not have a visa, and you won’t have a visa number to enter.
Some airline systems may still ask for a visa number during check-in. In these cases:
- Look for an option to skip or bypass the visa number field
- If prompted to “enter a visa,” and you have an ESTA, select “No” or “N/A” if available
- If the system asks you to apply for a new ESTA, but you already have one, you should be able to continue without applying again
📞 Still Stuck?
Sherpa° doesn’t manage airline systems, so if check-in issues persist, we recommend contacting your airline’s customer support team. They’ll have the best insight into their platform’s requirements and can help you move forward.
💡 Tip:
To confirm you’re eligible to travel with just your ESTA, use Sherpa°’s Travel Requirements Tool.
