The Saudi Umrah eVisa does not grant access for the Hajj pilgrimage and cannot be used to enter or remain in Makkah during the Hajj season from April 18 to May 31, 2026.
What You Need to Know
This eVisa is designed specifically for Umrah and allows multiple entries for stays of up to 90 days, including mandatory health insurance. However, Saudi authorities enforce a strict blackout period to prepare for Hajj. For the 2026 season, travelers with an Umrah eVisa must enter Saudi Arabia by April 2 and must exit the country by April 18. Attempting to enter after these dates or stay in Makkah during the Hajj period will lead to denied boarding or entry at the border, as the visa is not a substitute for a Hajj permit.
Our Recommendation
Check your travel itinerary against the Hajj dates before you apply. If your planned arrival falls between April 18 and May 31, 2026, you should not purchase an Umrah eVisa, as you will be turned away by airlines or immigration officials. If you have already applied and were denied entry due to these seasonal restrictions, please note that Re-apply Protection can help cover the costs of a new application once the Umrah season resumes in mid-June.
A Quick Tip
Even if you hold a multiple-entry visa that is valid for a full year, these seasonal restrictions still apply to Makkah. You may visit other cities like Jeddah or Riyadh during this time, but religious sites in Makkah are strictly reserved for Hajj permit holders only.
