A Namibian eVOA may be extended while you are in Namibia, subject to approval by Namibian immigration authorities.
What You Need to Know
Namibian eVOAs are generally issued for stays of up to 90 days. If you wish to remain longer, you must apply for an extension of stay in person at a designated office of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security before your current stay expires. Extensions are granted at the discretion of immigration authorities and are not guaranteed. Even with an extension, your total stay must not exceed 90 days in a calendar year. Overstaying can result in fines, penalties, or restrictions on future travel to Namibia.
Our Recommendation
Plan your trip carefully to stay within the permitted stay period shown on your eVOA. If you think you may need additional time, apply for an extension well before your authorized stay ends. If you’re unsure about eligibility or required documents, contact sherpa° for guidance.
A Quick Tip
Keep track of your permitted stay and mark your exit date clearly in your itinerary. Applying early for an extension helps you avoid overstaying and any issues with Namibian immigration.
