Yes, every traveler, including children and minors, must have their own separate Saudi eVisa approval. Saudi Arabia defines a minor as anyone under 18 years old.
What You Need to Know
There are no age exemptions for the Saudi eVisa. Each child must have an individual application linked to their own passport. When applying for a child through sherpa°, the guardian’s application must also be submitted through sherpa° under the same account so the two applications can be linked. The guardian’s information (name, eVisa number, and contact details) is required.
If the minor is not traveling with an adult, sherpa° cannot apply for the eVisa. In that case, you must contact the nearest Saudi embassy or consulate and apply for a Visit Visa with a notarized letter in Arabic or English signed by a parent or legal guardian authorizing the child to travel.
If the child is traveling with an adult who already has a valid visa or who does not require one, sherpa° also cannot process the minor’s application separately.
Our Recommendation
Parents or guardians should apply for each child’s eVisa well in advance of travel and submit the guardian’s and child’s applications together under the same account. If this is not possible, contact the nearest Saudi embassy or consulate for alternative visa options. Always double-check all passport and personal details before submitting.
A Quick Tip
Prepare all required documents for your child in advance, such as a valid passport and proof of guardianship if requested. If you are applying through sherpa°, make sure your own application is submitted along with your child’s to avoid delays or rejection.
