Your supporting document must be valid on the date you enter Turkey and meet specific eligibility criteria based on your nationality.
What You Need to Know
Some travelers applying for a Turkish eVisa must provide a valid visa or residence permit from certain countries, including:
Schengen area member states
The United States
The United Kingdom
Ireland
You will be informed during the eVisa application process if this requirement applies to you.
The supporting document must be:
Valid at the time you enter Turkey (it can be a used or unused single-entry visa, as long as it's still valid)
Issued by one of the approved countries listed above
Important: eVisas issued by other countries are not accepted as supporting documents for a Turkish eVisa application.
Our Recommendation
Before applying, check the expiration date of your visa or residence permit to ensure it will be valid on the day you plan to arrive in Turkey. If your document is expiring before your trip, you may need to renew it before submitting your application.
A Quick Tip
