If you’ve started an eVisa application on the Egypt portal but haven’t completed or paid for it, the system will keep it as a draft for 7 days. During this time, you won’t be able to submit a new application with the same passport details.
What You Need to Know
Unfortunately, the draft cannot be manually deleted. However, if no payment is made within 7 days, the draft is automatically removed from the system. Once that happens, you can submit a new application.
Workaround Option
If you need to apply urgently and cannot wait 7 days, you can edit the draft and change the passport details so that it no longer matches your actual passport.
Steps to Do This:
- Log into your account on the Egypt eVisa website.
- Click 'edit' beside the draft, then select 'next.'
- Scroll down to the ‘Applicants’ section and click 'view' next to your name.
- Change your passport number to 0000000, and optionally change the nationality as well.
- Save the changes.
Once saved, we should be able to proceed with the application you submitted through sherpa°.
A Quick Tip
Always double-check that your draft no longer contains your real passport information before trying to submit a new application.
