When staying with a family member or friend while visiting Kenya, the following additional documents are required:
- For your accommodation document, please provide an invitation letter from your host. This can be an email or typed letter from your host containing your name, their name, their address, the dates you’ll be staying with them, and a formal invitation for you to stay.
- If your host is a Kenyan citizen, we require a copy of the host’s Kenyan national ID or a photo of their passport bio-data page.
- If the host is a foreign resident, we require the same as above, as well as the page of their passport showing their immigration status in Kenya. The immigration status page shows their Kenyan visa or the entry stamp they received when entering Kenya.
If you will be on safari or staying in camps, include your itinerary from your tour company. This will typically include your dates of travel and the locations where you will be staying.
If you will be volunteering, include the invitation letter provided by the volunteer company you will be volunteering with.
